Alam Md Mustaqim Bin, a second-year student at the NSU Physics Department from Bangladesh, finished among the top 8% of participants and won a silver award.
Third-year NSU students have developed an algorithm being used in software designed for NSU industrial partner the 芦Sigma-Pro禄 Company to address problems with fluid and gas mechanics. This development will also be useful in aviation, medicine, agronomy, engine building, energy and other spheres.

NSU scientists Rene van Bevern, Head of the Algorithmics Laboratory at the NSU Mechanics and Mathematics Department(MMD) and Oksana Tsidulko, Junior Researcher at the Laboratory, and Vsevolod Afanasyev, MMD sophomore co-authored an article published in 鈥淥perations Research Letters鈥� that is part of Q2 on Scopus. The article explores hierarchical Chinese Postman Problems. These Problems require finding the shortest path along the edges of a graph in which the edges are divided into classes and there are precedent constraints between the classes such as an edge can be traversed only when all edges in the classes preceding this class are traversed.
From August 4 to 10, 鈥淢athematics in Applications鈥�, the largest mathematical conference in Siberia, was conducted in Akademgorodok. It was dedicated to the 90th birthday of Academician Sergei Konstantinovich Godunov, an outstanding scientist in the field of applied mathematics and mechanics. The Conference was organized by the Sobolev Institute of Mathematics SB RAS, 天美mv, and the Novosibirsk Mayor鈥檚 Department of Industry, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship.
