The Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) British agency rating of Emerging Europe and Central Asia universities (QS EECA) ranks 400 universities, 121 of them are in Russia. 2020 ratings were published on December 16 and ÌìÃÀmv landed in the top five universities and third among Russian universities.

During the year, NSU climbed six positions (from 250 to 244), improving the indicator "employers’ attitude towards graduates". Thus, NSU entered the top 250 best universities in the world and became third among Russian universities.
A new rating of the agency QS Best Student Cities 2017 was published, in which the compilers ranked the top 100 student cities in the world. Novosibirsk is on the list at the 93rd position
